That’s not to say you won’t have obstacles to overcome because there are always obstacles, but how you frame your thoughts around those obstacles determines your success. If your thoughts leave you to think of quitting do your best to delay that solution. It’s akin to waiting a day to purchase an impulse buy. You may find that the decision is not a good one or you can live without making that choice.
In this case though you will be practicing perseverance in the face of adversity, and you won’t have the scenario years later of wishing you had not quit.
It truly is a powerful mantra, and what’s more is that we underestimate our ability to cope in the midst of obstacles and “suffering”. There is suffering and pain that warrants a quit, especially if you are in a hospital bed, but for many great things accomplished we may have to endure a time of pain to get something we really want.
Let me know how it goes, and I’d love to hear your stories. I can’t wait to share mine. I’m not going to go into details because I don’t want to jinx it!
